Downloading Celliax Software

Don't forget to subscribe to the mailing lists, at least to the users' list (for bug fixes, features, problems, usage discussion).

Hardware:

For managing a cellphone, you will need a Celliax Hardware Adapter, that you can build yourself or buy.
But you can test the Celliax software also without any hardware.

At the moment there are three possibilities for downloading Celliax software:

  • Downloading a ready to use Celliax LiveCD via bittorrent from here (496M, the LiveCD can also be used to install Celliax on Windows)

  • Downloading the chan_celliax channel driver sources (1.6M) and related utilities, to be compiled if you have yet compiled your own Asterisk or if you use Asterisk from a package by your Linux distro and you can install the asterisk-dev (or asterisk-devel) package
  • Downloading the latest development sources via SVN and compile and install it yourself on Linux or Windows. Please take note that the sources are in flux, and at times can even not compile or variously misbehave. Read the aptly named README file in the "celliax" directory, after you grab the sources with the command:

svn checkout http://www.celliax.org:8081/svn/celliax/trunk celliax

It is highly recommended that you first make yourself comfortable with Celliax downloading and running the Celliax LiveCD, and only after a while you go the SVN way. Let's avoid initial frustrations :)
