So, after almost a year of public development, we're approaching the beta stage.
Next release will be the Beta Release Candidate, first shot at an official Beta Release.
Features that will make it for sure for RC1 (already in svn):
* Support for AT, Symbian, and old Nokias-FBUS2 based cellphones
* Fully configurable interaction with cellphones (allowing custom command to be sent in place/addition of standard command)
* Skype support
* Support for direct cellphone phonebook importing-exporting
* Support for one click dial from the cellphone (to the phonebook are added entries that allows to directly use SIP-IAX-Skype to terminate a call to the entry through asterisk)
* Support for CSV phonebook-addressbook files (the format exported by Outlook Express, Outlook, Kontact)
* Support for robust multichannel operation
* Support for both Asterisk 1.2 (on Linux and Cygwin-Windows) and Asterisk 1.4 (Linux only) series
What is left to do before releasing RC1:
* Adding back support for ALSA voicemodem
* Support for phonebook-addressbook in the format exported by Evolution (Vcard-vcf files)
* Use FreePBX as configuration interface for the LiveCD
* Code factorization (eliminating duplications coming from cut'n paste)
* Updating documentation, config files, examples, etc.
The RC1 will hopefully be out in the wild in June, but you can have a sneak peak (as always) from svn: "svn checkout http://www.celliax.org:8081/svn/celliax/trunk celliax", then follow the README file.
Features to be implemented in future releases:
* Bluetooth
* SMS management
* OSS and *BSD support
Please let us know, through the forums or mailing lists, if you think that an important or desirable feature is not present in the previous lists.
Happy Hacking
