Siemens Celliax Datacable

I have made a Siemens Celliax Cable for the older Siemens Series S/C/M 35, ME45 etc. -the Phones with the old thick Siemens Lumberg Connector.
Only the C25 won't work because it doesn't seem to support AT commands.
Attention: Since the x55 Series Siemens began to use the SLIM-Lumberg Connector, with different pinout!Probably headset identification is different too!

Take a working Siemens serial datacable(all 12 Pins are needed):
PIN 1(GND) and 3 may be connected with a charger
PIN 2 (Charger Identification) has to be connected like the selected charger does, HIGH,LOW or not connected
PIN11-12 -->Headset Speaker
PIN 9-10 -->Headset MIC

The headset connectors PIN9-12 are switched off until the phone detects a proper headset. Simple headsets identify by setting PIN 8 LOW, so connecting PIN 1(GND)->PIN8 will identify your datacable as headset.

Therefore:
PIN8 <-->PIN1
Keep the rest of the PINS 1,4-8 connected like the datacable needs.

Danger: Wrong connection of headset pins to the soundcard may result in a shortcut when using the datacable -->the phone will switch off/Display flickers or may even be damaged!!
Therefore i decided not to connect the headset Pins directly to the soundcard. Instead i used a audio transformer(coil) -as you can find them in every telephone or on every ISDN Card- simply to keep soundcard and the phone 'galvanically isolated'

-->Charging while using the Phone ->ok
-->COM dataconnection and AT commands while using the Phone->ok
-->Headset Audio out/in while using dataconnection& AT Commands->ok

Several of the celliax build-in initialization commands aren't known by the old Siemens phones or they are brand(Motorola,Nokia,Sony...) specific-->you will get some errors on initialisation. But the rest of the Celliax channel driver(from the Celliax LiveCD) works fine with the Siemens M35. The Celliax Drivers included with AsteriskWin32 0.6.0 won't work, seems to be too old version (with fixed configuration and fixed com port speed?!)

You can find a drawing of my cable and some configuration details in this german thread:

have fun

Ciao webbiler you got audio

Ciao webbiler
you got audio from a Siemens while there is the datacable connected?

I was thinking that in the case of Siemenses, at least the C series, if you connect the datacable the phone disconnect automatically the audio (eg: no signal on the headset jack), and no way to have the audio working togheter with the datacable...

Please, please, report on this

I re-read your posting and I

I re-read your posting and I better understood it (yes, it really gives you the audio!)

Man, you're GREAT!

Many many thanks, it was a pity the Siemenses were unsupported!

A900M ?

Just curious,

Is there somewhere I could find information about support for the Siemens A900 or A900M ?

TIA

re: A900M

Not reported yet.
But if it has a separate connector for handsfree-headset and datacable, it probably should work.
If you need assistance, just ask here ;-)
