sound only one way

Dear Giovanni

I try to install celliax on a trixbox.
It works more or less except for 2 things.

1. when I have a connection the sound from fixed line through GSM via mic input to a SIP phone is fairly good. although, the sound spoken into the sip phone via LS output through my GSM is not heard on the other end of de GSM phone. I have connected a headset to the soundcard but there is no signal coming from the LS output port.

2. When I start asterisk I am able to make a call via a sip phone through my GSM to a fixed line. When I hang up and try again I almost every time get a channel unavailable message

I already tried two computers, both with the same result. I have installed Trixbox and Celliax as described on the site. I tried to adjust the alsamixer without result. I also tried to adjust the settings in the Celliax.conf file, it only changed the level of the sound in the direction that was already working. I would be very happy if you could give me a hint to the solution of this problem.

mvg,

alsamixer is the way

1) you have to work out the alsamixer, until you have sound out.
You have to pump up the "pcm", and unmute it (if it's muted), and pump up the "Master" and unmute it (if it's muted).
Also, be sure you connected to the right output, sometimes this can be tricky if you have many sockets.
Good idea to use the headset directly connected to the soundcard.
For better debugging of the sound, you can use the "no_serial" protocol, instead of the "at" or "fbus2". It works just with the soundcard (no need to connect a cellphone), and an "incoming call" is activated by a noise at the mic input. You can then use the "dial" command to simulate the DTMFs (eg. "dial #" to terminate the call).

2) can you post here the "unavailable" message you get?
